Today started with a soft fog and only mildly chilly temperature.
It also started with a milestone for the journey: the last morning to wake up in a tent. No more doing the blog in the dark. No more finding the flashlight to trudge to the restroom in the middle of the night. No more rolling out of a warm sleeping bag into the cold morning. No more "zipper alarms", that's when others start unzipping their bags and tents 1 hour before we plan to get up.
We crossed the Chattahoochee River and into the Eastern time zone, another milestone. I am surprised by how beautiful, forested and hilly northern Florida is. By mile 60 we were in Tallahassee. It's been a while since we've had to ride in an urban setting. Turning left across 4 lanes of traffic sure gets my heart beating harder than a good hill climb. Tonight we're enjoying a motel.
