The Great Adventure Countdown Day 26

Rose, Mike and I decided to ride today because it was suppose to warm up to the mid 40's with no wind.  We chose to ride to Lyons, about 50 miles round trip. We took off and it was 29 degrees and when we returned home it was 38 degrees. I do not know if it ever made 40 degrees but it was nippy. On our return trip the wind picked up from the west and was blowing pretty strong. Any time we start on a north south road we had blowing snow and a really strong side wind creating slush and it places wind packed snow.

On a different note as we traveled down Hygiene Road Mike spotted two Bald Eagles in a tree over looking a field of prairie dogs. They must have thought they were at Joe's Lunch counter. Rose took this picture.  I tried taking some with the GoPro, a most comical attempt. This is included at the end of the video.  Look for the two dots in the tree. Seeing the two Bald Eagles made the ride worth doing.

Mike figured out how to embed the Garmin in the blog, so thank you Mike.

Lyons!
