What a terrific day with family, new people, new sites and good food. The morning was spent with our niece Jennifer and her husband.
The afternoon was spent in the Bubba Coast 2 Coast group meeting. Besides rules and procedures we each had a minute to introduce ourselves. Condensing a day into a 5-minute blog post is hard enough. Condensing 62 years of life into a 1-minute bio was a challenge. All 41 riders present and the staff had interesting things to say. It's a lot of names and faces to learn at once. One rider said it best. She said that meeting all the riders was a little like the first day of high school - a lot of people and you want all of them to become your friends.
We capped the day with drinks with Ken and Becky. They're not riders on this trip but are avid riders and friends of Mike and Kelly, our riding friends in Erie. Great day. We are ready for the adventure to begin.
