The Great Adventure Countdown Day 19

As the day gets closer one begins to wonder what shape he is in. Thinking about the hills outside San Diego and the lack of climbing in 2014, I figured hills were the order for the day. My friend Earl's idea of hills and mine were quite different. In the end Earl,s won out. Into Boulder and up Old Stage Road and Lee Hill Road We went. Old Stage being a good climb and Lee Hill a climber climb usually reserved for later in the season when one riding has been perfected. Not only did we have the challenging climb but some heavy and strong wind gust. We arrived at the crest only to be about blown off our bikes. So down the back side only to find the wind blowing straight up the back side almost bring me to a stop. Earl decided this was a good spot to turn around and gave me the choice for the rest of the route.
