This picture was taken at Catalina State Park outside of Tucson by one of the other riders.
We departed from the school earlier than usual today and had a few pleasant but windy miles on some back roads.
Today was another grueling day of headwind for the entire 76 miles. Neither of us realized that we would also be climbing.
We formed various pace lines and toughed it out. Bless Lara for keeping such a positive attitude all day. John proved his strength by pulling the pace line from lunch to the final sag stop. Ahh, finally to camp only to have our post-ride beer interrupted by a light but cold rain. Bubba talked the KOA campground hosts into letting us eat dinner in the upstairs room. Chef Anne's lasagne was excellent. As Bubba says,"All is good." Except that our air mattress is going flat.
