The Great Adventure Day 8-9

Today started with the lavish breakfast cooked by the students in the culinary program at the high school. Rose, though, was under the weather and chose a trip to the clinic. coordinating her transportation made for a slow start to the ride. Bill, Bert and I were some of the last to leave.

It was a cool hazy morning and beautiful start for a ride. The first 18 miles were behind us before we new it.. We almost missed the DQ because we thought we hand only gone 9 miles or so. Turns out it did not matter because it was closed. We did find one later to our delight.

Riding through the desert was wonderful and full of wonder. I had to do the filming and photography so made lost of stops. There was cactus of every type and shape.

We stopped for two days at Catalina State park. It a beautiful spot complete with hot showers. We will be leaving tomorrow March 17 for a ride through Tuscon.

Rose is much better today and chomping at the bit to ride tomorrow. It is good to see her feeling better. Rose says she would not wish this intestinal distress on her worst enemy - if she actually had any enemies.
